Uni Results 2008 Semester 2

Results are in:-

Batchelor of Education topic:
Development, Learning and Inclusive Teaching: Distinction

Batchelor of Arts topics:
Advanced Multimedia Design:
Distinction
Issues for Australians:
High Distinction

Once again I'm very happy with these results for this semester which rounds of a great year of results. Now for a well earned rest from study until next year which I'm overloading by one topic per semester so that I don't have to do 2 subjects in second semester 2010.

Wet Wet Wet...No No No

Good news in the house of Jacob! For the last 3 nights Jacob has been nappyless overnight and has been dry the last 2 nights - Yeah! Yeah! First night wasn't to wet and the 2nd night he went to the toilet at 6am. This morning he woke and went at 7am.

Good start.

Update: well the last few mornings have been greeted with a wet or damp bed so continues encouragement and promise of ice-cream tomorrow for a dry bed!

Update #2: Icecream worked well however a longer sleep the next morning didn't quite work well. This morning (Sunday) was all dry. So out of 8 nights it has been 5 dry!

Kindy Concert

Last night was Jacob's Kindy concert. It was a fun, busy and a great night to end the kindy year. The weather was great and all the children had a fantastic play outside after the 1/2 hour songfest. Watch out for the video soon!

Thanks to Nanna and Pappa for coming along.

Resurrection

After 2 years the vegie patch has been resurrected with cucumber, capsicum, tomatoes, snow peas, brocolie and lettuce - great for salads during summer along with Jacob's strawberry plants. Been a few weeks now and everything is growing well - especially if we get some rain in the next few days. Yes, had some help from the boys in getting the patch ready and planting.

Calvin IS Indy and other (Whyalla) Kitto pics

Calvin all ready for school! Can you believe it?!!! He will have his first (and only) transition visit on Thursday morning. I took this photo on Monday with his new uniform and new school bag.

Both Natalie and Calvin have decided that they want to do gymnastics next year and have been practising their hand stands and cart wheels every day.

Eli is continuing to grow and thrive and generally just be really really cute.

Although Calvin's birthday is still a month away, we have started planning his party so that we can invite all his kindy friends (before the holidays start and he never sees them again!). Here is the picture I created for his invitations. I just thought I'd share. (For those of you who are interested, we've decide to have his party on Sun the 11th).

Hope you're all well. Love and hugs -Debbie

Natalie's Birthday and other stuff

Hello all. Another Kitto update here.
Firstly, we have the mess that is created when a glass table smashes. Still not sure how it broke, though we suspect the cat may have jumped on it and been the 'cat' that broke the table's 'back'.

Stuart is very pleased with his birthday present. A remote controlled lego bulldozer. With 1358 pieces and 3 days to build Stuart has had a lot of fun with it this week.

Mum, dad and Grandma Jean visited here on Thursday to celebrate Natalie's birthday early. Was a very lovely and relaxing day and great that the school/kindy were striking so the kids could stay home. Eli enjoyed all the cuddles. Eli was so worn out from his big day with the grandparents that he slept from 11pm until I woke him at 8:15am to take Natalie to school!
Eli and mummy. There are not many pictures of me with my son so thanks mum for suggesting this. Eli is wearing the overalls that Aunty Heth bought Natalie when she was born. The only outfit I have photos of all 3 kids wearing.
Natalie's birthday: Thank you Aunty Heth, Uncle Al, Jacob and Sam for this lovely dancing ballerina.
Thank you Nanna and Pappa for the beautiful hanging net. Natalie slept under it last night.
Thank you Aunty Kerryn, Uncle Michael, Annie and Isaac for the money. Natalie has put it in her money box to save for something special.
Natalie with her castle cake.

Hope that you are all well. Eli is recovering from his cold thankfully and we all seem to be mostly healthy - hurray. Hope that the new cats are settling in Rob and Cherie. And hope that there is now health in your home Heth.
Love and hugs to you all. -Debbie

Calvin flies off on another adventure (14/10)
Eli at Lucky bay. We drove to Cowell to have a look around. (11/10)
The kids really enjoyed their trip to Cowell. We saw fish and crabs on the jetty and they loved their swim at Lucky bay. (11/10)
Eli sitting in his new seat at the table - a high chair that attaches to a normal chair. It even reclines. Mummy is really happy with it! (10/10)
The kids with Colin. Natalie and Calvin's 4th photo with Colin! Not surprisingly Colin is a big fan of babies and was more than happy to hold Eli (quote "Can I give him back in a couple of hours?" lol)(9/10)

Well I think that just about updates you with our photos. Hope that you are all well. Hugs and stuff all round.

Colin!

Today was the annual Colin Buchanan concert at Church... Our boys were a bit more excited this year but you wouldn't have known, they sat mesmerised the whole time! They were all happy to say Hi to Colin and get another poster signed and smile for the camera. Thanks Stu and Deb for getting there at 8:30 so we got really really really good seats!

Tassie

Heth would say it's been very cold but as an x-Tassie guy it's been quiet good weather. We've had fun in the snow, down at Salamanca market where we found a great beenie for Jacob and Heth and have enjoyed playing with our Tassie cousins on the 'farm'. Here are some pics for you to enjoy.

Time to build some beds in the next few days.

Photos from the camera of the Whyalla Kittos

First, Question Heth & Nanna K: I have been wondering how we could make a visit from you guys work regarding space and our lack of it and then on Saturday after we put up the tent for the kids we wondered if we have stumbled across the answer. If Natalie and Calvin shared a room (which they always love to do) and Jacob and Sam were in Calvin's room (with a monitor) do you think that you guys would cope with sleeping out in the tent if we provided real mattresses and power for lighting, heating, and hopefully electric blankets? Have a think and let us know. :)

Hello all. I finally got around to capturing all the photos off of the camera and thought that I'd share.

We have Natalie painting a portrait of Calvin.

Natalie and Calvin on a horse ride in Marion in the hols.

Our visit to the Morton's.

N & C with Jacob and Sam, who thought it would be fun to walk around with a big piece of pipe!

A full rainbow over our house.

Hannah Stott's 4th birthday at our house. The first major event in the new backyard.

Debbie with Grandma Jean on the 22nd of April.

Our family in Isabelle's garden on the 21st of April.

I hope that you are all going well, love and hugs to you all. -Debbie
