Spencer

IMG_0000010.jpg
--------------------------------------------------
We've had a visiter in the house over the last few days. Thought it was because of the rain that was being forecast but that has now gone. We have called him Spencer because that's the name of the spider from P.B. Bear. He's been at a safe distance until today when he was at head level in the kitchen. We leave him be and hope he moves on otherwise he'll be helped along

Tooth

So when Heth went to pick up Jacob he said "Mum my tooth came out" so after the slight shock we asked how and he told us that while eating his honey sandwich during one bite it came out! His teacher rescued it and wrapped it up for him and us!

A very quiet blog

Well it seems things have slowed down a bit on the blog site, guess everybody's Facebookn' (except me!). I have found a great way to update simply be emailing! You can use Posterous to update this blog and many other social networking sites, even attached images. mp3 and video. I'll be using my Posterous blog a bit more so I'll probably update both with news from Al and the Brock family.

Hot Hot Dam Hot!

Well it's 40 degress on the back deck but thankfully 26 inside!

Ubuntu's Good

So yep my Windows got a very bad virus - my fault, so during
reinstalling I thought I'd have a look at the new Ubuntu version and
discovered that I could install and uninstall this under windows with a
change to the boot menu. So cool cause I always wanted to have a linux
distr to play with and this version of Ubuntu is great. Have used a few
live CD's before but a dual boot that I can do through Windows -
fantastic.

Semester Break Over

Well the semester break is over and managed to write that 2500 essay on the integration of ICTs in the curriculum.

During the break had my Mum visit and we took a trip to Monarto - take a look at the slideshow.

So now it's back to Uni and time to get into the Web 2.0 tools hence this blog entry to demonstrate Posterous and the ability of the slideshow feature. All I did was attach my photos to this email, cool hey! I also thought I'd update our family blog http://kittsandbrocks.blogspot.com/ by including the email blog@posterous.com. All I had to do is to add it to my list of networks on my Posterous site. So in one email both blog sites are updated.

Birthday Pics

Now a year older, I had a good day for my 39th. As we needed another form of transport, I decided to enter the world of the scooter and picked it up yesterday. Here are some pics that Jacob took.

and we celebrated with what has become the traditional Black Forest birthday cake made by Heth

A new song for Christmas

A few weeks ago Sam wanted to do a 'show' out on the front lawn so he sang the following song which has been added to since:

Christmas has a tree
Christmas has a tree
Christmas has a tree
and a Ho! Ho! for you

Christmas has some boots
etc

Christmas has a beanie
etc

Christmas has some gloves
etc

Make a joyful noise to the Lord

I was sitting in the lounge and Jacob was at the toilet and suddenly I heard....

"the universe dejoys (should be declares) your majesty.... you are holy"

Heth had been looking/listening to some Chrysalis worship songs however Jacob singing in the bathroom isn't a strange thing in our house!

Oh just was informed that it's God of Wonders which the boys were listening to in the car on their new Veggie Tales Worship CD....weird but way cool

R.I.P. Maggie

On Monday afternoon we found 2 kittens in the shed and 1 under the house. We decided to take 2 down to the RSPCA and keep one. The boys decided to call her Maggie (probably after Jacob's Kindy teacher!). They were around 3 weeks old and therefore Maggie had to be hand fed milk by a bottle.

We were getting familiar with having her around the house however tonight just before tea an tragic accident happened which resulted in having to put her to sleep.

We explained to the boys what happened and then buried her in the back garden.

A short time in our family,
Maggie will be missed (R.I.P.)

Update from the Whyalla Kittos ('cause it's been AGES!)

Hello all. Hope that you are well and looking forward to an enjoyable Easter. Thought it was time to throw up some more photos of the Whyalla Kitto happenings.

Going back to the last blog post (on the Cozens blog), we were about to see monster trucks. Apart from being freezing cold the kids loved out evening out and the fire works at the end were pretty specky.

Natalie was voted as SRC rep for her class and is enjoying going to meetings and helping to plans things for the school. She even gave a presentation to the school last week reminding them to keep out of the garden beds!
To celebrate winning an acting principal position at Whyalla High for two weeks Stuart bought himself guitar hero. Surprisingly Natalie also got really into it! :)
Cute boys in matching PJs. I know I shouldn't keep matching their clothes, but they are SO cute. And besides, I won't be able to do it much longer as Calvin is going up into size 7 clothes and so into the big boy's clothes section!!! :O
He certainly belongs to us! Elisha already loves the microphone, lol.
Lovely big sister Natalie reading to her little brothers. Eli really likes it when you lie next to him to read. Not only does he like to play with and look at books, but he loves to be read to. Good boy.
This weekend just past, we all travelled down to Thuruna (just south of Tumby Bay) to do the music/up front stuff for a Kid's Camp Out (7-12 yr olds). It was completely stressful and a lot of hard work, but very worth it. The kids enjoyed themselves and Eli was fabulously helpful, sleeping through all of the sessions that we presented. The theme of the camp was KCOnia, a planet where the explorers (campers) flew to meet the KCOnians (that would be us, thus the awesome wigs) where we told them about God's love.
Natalie stood in line for 30mins then 70 minutes then 20 minutes (what amazing patience!!!) to finally have her face painted and this was the result. She was VERY pleased with it.

To start each session the kids walked through this space ship to get to the mat area.
Eli is very very very nearly crawling. He can now head in a straight direction towards his desired destination (nearly always power cables!). I will be Eli proofing the house these holidays (probably with Elisha's help!)
Calvin's class hosted the assembly on Friday the 27th of March. They had made masked and had learned about alliteration. Calvin proudly told the school "I'm Calvin the Cheeky Cheetah."
Eli had decided that this little sword is his. It is one of his most favourite toys! Gosh, he can't tell that he is Calvin's brother!!!

Will be nice to catch up with  you over the holidays. Love and squeeeeeeezy hugs.

Thanks to a nice family on Freecycle the boys were given a Cubby House - and they love it!
