Ashes and things

Go Aussie!
This morning Al & Sam & I were out and about in the city so went to the Museum and saw the Ashes. It really is tiny (give me the AFL Premiership Cup any day!) but was nice to see a bit of history like that. One of the most beautiful things about the experience was observing the reaction of a well dressed old man wearing a suit and hat who would have been at least in his 80s or more - he was so chuffed, and said he'd been waiting his whole life to see it and it was such a privilege. That was nice :). I thought it was cute that chuffed old man and baby Sam were next to each other to see it!
Jacob's reaction to the Australian win last night was also note worthy. We cheered so he kept on cheering, and looked for his microphone to cheer louder, and hip-hip-hooray-ed it a few times, and was quite excited by it all! Might need to take him to a Twenty20 sometime ;)

I guess that means that large things (like 5 day games of cricket) must amuse large minds! Awe Shucks. I think you've got a large brain too, Cherie, even if you don't appreciate a sport you can play for 30 hours and still not have a winner!)

I like one dayer's - more action, more interest, and umm if New Zealand are playing more reason to watch ;) he he I just get bored in test series', and also seeing Warney walk around whinging at every call that doesnt go his way gets a little boring after a while!

But you know what, until I started seeing Rob, I NEVER watched a game of cricket in my life!

But Stu, look at it this way, I live with a man who has it beamed direct to his mobile phone. He watches it whenever he isnt near a TV, and then he gets SMS updates everytime someone gets out, and this is going to go on ALL SUMMER - help!

PS: Mum no offence taken, I didnt even read it that way

I'm not a great fan of the test's generally - like to get updates. The last one was just great though!

One Day and 20x20 Bring it on!
