Here is a picture that was taken at about 7pm, the fire began at about 3pm, so it was still going strong after 4 hours. After this image was taken there was a mass influx of water bombers and choppers (we counted 2 bomber planes, 3 choppers and an Elvis). That dramatically reduced the smoke which is probably just as well considering that the wind got up quite strong at around 8pm

That does look uncomfortably close, doesn't it?! I'm sure it wouldn't get as far as your place, but still a worry!
