Trains

Trains are great (especially when you need to avoid doing an assignment), here is Jacob's train set.

Happy Birthday Michael

Happy Birthday Michael
For you we hope the best
Today and always
Hope you enjoy celebrating
Turning nine
And have happiness all of your days

Keep an eye on the post
(though sadly, I doubt that you will see anything from Whyalla today)

Love you heaps Michael

Kisses and Hugs,
Uncle Stuart, Aunty Debbie, Natalie, Calvin and Katt!

Happy Birthday Debbie!! .. and happy birthday Michael!

Well I'm not sure what happened there .... but anyway, I hope you DO have a really good day today, Debbie, with some special treats!! And Michael I hope you have a terrific day too!
It's blowing a real gale here, and raining heaps ... and i'm SO pleased we've opted to leave the tent home for this holiday! A little ensuite cabin will be cosy and comfortable ... and dry! We're finishing packing, and hope to leave mid morning ... but we all know how plans can change!
Dad just spoke to Granny and she said she had a bit of a restless night, but "they're looking after me well here!" .... so I guess we can't really ask more than that, can we?! I think we'll probably go up tomorrow and visit her.
Take care, all of you, and we'll keep you posted! Love Mum

Happy Birthday Debbie!!

How cool is this?

Repairs

Well this morning the crew next door finally came around and fixed our carport which had started to sink due to the water run off and thus soil errosion caused by them digging away the ground for the development.

Jacob enjoyed seeing 'Scoop' in our driveway

Back to the assignment.

Quiet week?

Hi All! I gather everyone's had a quiet, boring, normal week?? I hope you girls all had lovely Mothers' Days, and got suitably spoilt! Mine was good, and very busy, and a bit different! Thank you all for phone calls and cards etc .... much appreciated! As it was also our wedding anniversary Dad did his usual trick of inviting me up the front in church and giving me my red carnation - as he'd already given me a card, and had been at meetings at Elizabeth Fri night and Sat I thought that was it, which was fair enough! So i was quite startled, and the congregation seemed to love it!
After church we went for coffee at the Anchorage with 3 of the young couples, then to McLaren Vale for lunch with Grandad and Heth Al and the boys. It was a bit different, and we ate later than usual (poor Grandad!), but the company was good, and we certainly couldn't fault the staff's attitudes! As I was singing for the 5pm service we had to come back for practice 4.15, so we didn't hang about there! After church we went to Maccas for coffee with some more people ..... and finally home about 8pm! It was a long day, but a good one!
Last night we had visitors to tea, and tonight is Fellowship. Tomorrow some of my Sit and Stitch ladies are going to fabric shops in Murray Bridge Strathalbyn and Mt Barker, and tomorrow night is Fleurieu Quilters .... I'm planning on getting there this time, for the first time!
Hope you're all doing Ok and not TOO busy and frazzled! Love Mum

What a lovely day!

Hi Honeys! Each time we've moved, folk from the old place have said they'll visit us at the new place .... but it hasn't happened! So when the Loxton girls said they'd come and visit me, I didn't get too hopeful! But then, a couple of months ago, Chris rang and we chose a couple of dates .... and today 8 of the Loxton Quilters came down and we had such a lovely day together! It was SO nice to see them all again! We had morning tea here, then yummy lunch at a coffee shop .... next to one of the quilt shops! Some $$ later we went to the other 2 fabric/quilt shops, and they dropped me off here about 3, and headed home - via the quilt shop at Karoonda! As 2 of them are over 80, I reckon that was terrific of them - and I suspect they enjoyed it as much as I did!
Tomorrow, just for something completely different (?) I'm going to the Sit and Sew day at the Quilt Basket (shop) .... and that will be nice too! Dad's going to morning tea with our local MP!
Love you all!

Breakfast

Yesterday morning when we got up (quite a while after Jacob) we found he had got breakfast for himself and Albert and Baby, complete with table cloth and spoons and bowls and cups, and a little fruity bix for Albert and Baby, and a big weetbix for Jacob, (and some baby cereal and a jar of pasta sauce as well). When Al said he'd get the camera to take a pic Jacob turned the chairs around so Albert and Baby were facing the camera! A lovely little breakfast tea party :)

Busy Boys

Just got some pics off the camera again. Gee our boys are busy! Jacob loves to preach to us, with his microphone and his pedestal lectern and his book to sing songs from. Lots of 'Dear Lord...' involved, and we often have to sing along and clap, or close eyes ore whatever. He is very particular about what we must do!
Sam has no problems pulling himself up to standing at the table. We need to remember to not leave things at the edge where he can get them. We must also put lids back on textas.
Yesterday Jacob helped Daddy clean the inside of the car (money should not go in the CD player) and today they're washing the outside. He is very helpful i'm sure ;).

Wow a minute to myself!

Amazingly I've got a minute to myself at the computer, and no one is pressing buttons they shouldn't be or trying to help me or deleting things they're not meant to, so I'll say hello here. Al and Jacob are outside cleaning the car (well the inside of it at least) and Sam's crawling around being busy as he does. We really haven't been doing anything exciting, just the run of the mill things with a uni student and a 3 year old and a nearly 10 month old and me. It was lovely to go with mum and dad to see Granny (the boys really did travel well which was great!) and Jacob was very excited to be going to the farm as well. It was a long day and I was quite tired by the end of it, but Sam chose that night to be inconsolable and scream for an hour and a half (he's been doing that late evening lately, but this was the first time in the middle of the night). I didn't cope too well at that time but luckily last night was much better - he woke about 3:30 and fed well and went straight back to sleep until 8:30 so today is a much better day than yesterday!
Sam sure is a busy boy, and Jacob ranges between naughty defiant 3year old and beautiful cuddle him to death, etc etc. (The other night before i went out he kissed me and looked at me and said 'you're really cool mum!' Awwww!) Nothing unusual there I guess.
Anyway I'd better go make the most of this peace and do what else I need to. Hope you're all doing well, catch you again! Love Heth
(BTW Dad could you put some photos up from the other day? Thanks!)

well I'll try!

Hi All! Sorry Stu - I hear ya, but sometimes life just gets in the way of doing what we want to! But I'm here now! It was excellent to catch up with all of you over the hols, and we enjoyed the visits etc. Yesterday we left here at 7am, and got home at midnight, having visited Granny with Heth and the boys! Jacob and Sam were both very good (in spite of 6 hours in the car!) and Granny LOVED seeing us all again! We had lovely lunch with her, and after about 4 hours there the boys were getting a bit stir crazy and she was sleepy, so we went over to the farm. Sam loved the 3 little lambs in the yard, and would have enjoyed feeding them, but Jacob wasn't so keen! It was a beaut visit tho, and was good for Dad and Andrew to have some time together too! A has an interview this afternoon for rural Counsellor position - prayer required!
We've begun to have visitors, not just having the folk who've had us round! First time Mon evening went well, altho we ate a bit later than planned as John was very interested in how Dad makes his pictures .... maybe he'll eventually find/make time to start another!
Next Thurs 7 Loxton Quilters are coming down to visit, and I'm really looking forward to that! Will be beaut to catch up again - and of course we'll visit the q shops too!
Hope you're all doing OK ... we're both well, and busy! Love Mum
